We’re extremely excited to announce the third annual 

Poachers ‘Máistir Meascán’ Cocktail Competition!

For the competition we want to demonstrate the best that Ireland has to offer, and will focus on three key points: Modern. Irish. Sustainable.

See the rules of the competition below:

 

• Demonstrate your drink is Modern, Irish, Sustainable using producst from our range 

• If using our Soda Water incorporate an ingredient from our other products 

• No more than 7 ingredients, excluding garnish 

• If using Whiskey or Poitín, please use Teelings 

• Must use at least one other Irish ingredient (not including spirit or Poachers.  E.g. Irish mint,  Woodruff, Strawberries )

• Drink must not exceed 70mls of 40% alcohol content

• Keep September 23rd free in your calendar to participate in the finalist MYSTERY CHALLENGE

Top 4 will participate in a MYSTERY BOX CHALLENGE for the finals on the 23rd of September.  You will have 2-3 hours, and full access to a prep kitchen on the afternoon of the 23rd, and present that drink that evening at the Teelling Distillery.

A big thank you to our friends at Teeling, who will be hosting us for the finals in their Distillery. As a thank you, we would ask that if you are using Whiskey or Poitin as part of your drink, that you would use Teeling’s.

Entries should be submitted by the 6th of September through Instagram. Make sure to use the hashtag #MaistirMeascan and to tag @poachersdrinks ,@buyandseltzer, @poachersdonsoares in your post, along with an ingredients list and a short description on how your drink demonstrates the key points of Modern, Irish and Sustainable. 

 

Once all entries are in, we will visit the top entries in their bar to try out their drink, and then announce the Top 4, who will then face off at the finals in our Mystery Box Challenge

 

The finals will be held in the Teeling Distillery and open  to anyone in the industry who wants to come along and show their support to the competitors, or even just to say hello and have a fun evening with us.

The winning prize is an all-expenses paid trip to New York, USA to see the best the Ireland has to offer on the other side of the Atlantic.  There will be some exciting prizes for all finalists on the night!

This competition is only open to entries from Ireland. (ROI & NI)
